Your wedding is not a playlist on a stand. Every set is programmed around the two of you: the songs that mean something, the ones that must never be played, and the people you want still on that floor at 2 a.m.
Ceremony & cocktail
Processional, vows, the walk back up the aisle, then a cocktail hour that sets the tone without shouting over conversation.
Bilingual MC
Announcements, introductions and timing in English and French, delivered in the register your room actually speaks.
Open-format sets
Motown to Afrobeat, R&B to reggaeton, Arabic to Top 40. Read live, mixed live, moved between languages and generations without a gap.
Sound & lighting
Professional-grade audio and lighting through Back to Basics Entertainment, scaled to your room and scoped in your quote.
Montréal, the Laurentians, the Eastern Townships and across Québec, plus destination celebrations in Europe and the Middle East.

Simple from first message to last song.

“DJ MAJD was phenomenal. He made our wedding the most magical night of our lives!”Emily & Christopher · Wedding
Asked before every wedding.
Do you MC in both French and English?
Yes. Announcements, introductions and timing are delivered bilingually, and the balance is set to match your guest list rather than a fixed script.
Do you travel for destination weddings?
Yes. Destination celebrations across Europe and the Middle East are a regular part of the calendar. Travel and logistics are quoted transparently up front.
How far ahead should we book?
Popular Saturdays in summer and early fall tend to go first, often a year or more out. If your date is closer than that, ask anyway. Dates open up.
What does it cost?
Pricing depends on your date, venue, coverage hours and whether you need lighting or additional sound. Send those details and you'll get a clear, itemized quote.
Can we request songs, and can we ban some?
Both, and both are encouraged. A do-not-play list is as useful as a must-play list, and neither will be quietly ignored on the night.
Do you provide the sound and lighting?
Yes, professional-grade audio and lighting through Back to Basics Entertainment, sized to your room and included in your quote so there are no surprise rentals.
